description
Technical Field The present invention relates to a mobile plant for heating a railroad switch, a use thereof, and a method for heating a railroad switch.
PRIOR ART Already since the beginning of the railroad it has been known that in wintry conditions with snow and frost a functional impairment of points can occur. Accordingly, numerous systems and devices have already been developed for heating railway sleepers and are also in actual use. For example, around half of all points in the network of Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) are equipped with points heating at the present time.
It is assumed that switch heaters nowadays are mostly electrically operated. An early proposal for this is found in the German patent DE 960 104 C. In addition, but also operated with natural gas or propane gas point heaters in use.
However, there remains a need for improved systems for heating railroad tracks. In particular, a practicable mobile system would be desirable that could be used if necessary, especially with a relatively short preparation time.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a mobile plant for heating a railway turntable, which can be installed with comparatively little effort and, if necessary, can be used for different sized railway turnouts. Further objects of the invention are to specify a use of the system according to the invention and a method for heating a railway switch.
These objects are achieved by the system defined in claim 1 and by the use defined in claim 7 and the method defined in claim 8.
Advantageous embodiments are defined in the dependent claims.
The mobile plant according to the invention for heating a railroad switch comprises a controllable heating and circulating device for a heating fluid and a fluid line connectable thereto fluid line to form a closed circuit for the heating fluid. Characterized in that the fluid line is at least partially formed by a flexible hydraulic hose and that the system comprises a plurality of fastening elements, by means of which the hydraulic hose to rail areas of a railroad track to be heated laterally fastened, results in a simple to install or disassemble plant, which can be transported well and stored if required. The system can be composed largely of commercially available components and is therefore also inexpensive.
The inventive system is provided in particular for use for heating a railway switch. In principle, however, it could also be used, for example, for heating a railway junction or a single rail section.
In the inventive method for heating a railroad track by means of an inventive system, the hydraulic hose is laterally disposed adjacent to rail areas of the railroad track and fastened by means of fasteners, and then preheated heating fluid by means of the heating and circulating continuously or as needed circulated through the fluid line.
As a heating fluid is preferably water used in the present context, the optional antifreeze can be added.
Controllable heating and circulation devices for such a heating fluid as well as fluid-tight connectable thereto fluid line elements to form a closed circuit for the heating fluid are basically known and also commercially available. For example, such systems are widely used on construction sites for heating individual areas.
It is also known to form such fluid lines at least in sections by flexible hydraulic hoses. As a rule, such hydraulic hoses are multi-layered and usually comprise at least one reinforcing layer, for example a braided layer which is embedded between each formed from plastic or rubber inner and outer layer. Typical nominal diameters are DN 25 with an inner diameter of 25.4 or DN 32 with an inner diameter of 31.8 mm. Furthermore, the known hydraulic hoses are terminally equipped with fluid-tight connecting elements, by means of which the connection to the heating and circulating device or to another part of the fluid line can be made.
It is understood that for the intended use advantageously a hydraulic hose is to be selected, which is equipped for the passage of white water. In addition, the hose jacket should have the best possible thermal conductivity in order to effect the best possible heat transfer to the rail section to be heated.
A significant advantage of the invention is the fact that the hydraulic hose can be applied laterally thanks to its flexibility in a simple manner to be heated rail sections. By "laterally applied" it is meant in the present context that the hose is attached to lateral areas of a rail in such a way that it always remains free of a wheel running over the rail. For fixing and securing the hydraulic hose at the intended position, a multiplicity of fastening elements are used according to the invention. These are, in particular, clip-type or bow-type elements which are generally known at least in a similar design for the rail fastening of other components. It is important for a good efficiency of the point heating that the hydraulic hose rests as fat as possible and continuously on the rail surface.
It is understood that when a required traverse a rail, the fluid line, or the fluid line forming hydraulic hose must be performed below the rail. For this purpose, the rail pad is freed of gravel at the respective crossing point and thus created a passage.
According to an advantageous embodiment (claim 2), the system additionally comprises a plurality of cover elements which are fixable to a rail area such that a hydraulic hose abutting said rail area is enclosed. This reduces unwanted heat emission from the hydraulic hose to the ambient air.
In principle, the entire hydraulic hose could be formed from a single segment. However, it is more advantageous (claim 3) if the hydraulic hose is formed from a plurality of hose segments, which are connected to one another in a fluid-tight manner by means of detachable hose connection elements. For example, the individual tube segments have a length of about 10 m. This impractically long hose segments are avoided, which is advantageous both during transport and storage and when laying the fluid line before mounting.
According to a further embodiment (claim 4) selected portions of the fluid line are equipped with a heat-insulating outer layer. It is understood that this is useful only in those sections where there is no thermal contact with the rail. Typically, therefore, the supply line sections between the heating and circulating device and the railway switch and the connecting sections between the rails are thermally insulated.
Advantageously, the heating and circulating device is electrically operated (claim 5). Devices which have been proven to be particularly advantageous are those which are optionally fed by an emergency generator and by mains voltage, namely 380 V.
It is also particularly advantageous (claim 6), when the heating and circulating device is operable in cooperation with a device for measuring the outside temperature. Thus, the Anlange can be operated in the manner (claim 10) that the circulation of the heating medium exclusively below a predetermined outside temperature, for example below 59C, is caused. This can be an undesirable heating in the absence of risk of frost avoided.
Although the inventive system is primarily intended for heating the functionally important rail sections of a switch, it can be designed in an advantageous manner (claim 9), moreover, for heating other components of the railway. In particular, a heating of the closure compartment or the Umstellgestänge and closure parts housed therein can be made.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Exemplary embodiments of the invention are described in more detail below with reference to the drawings, in which:
Figure 1 is a schematic representation of a equipped with a mobile heating system railway switch, before assembly, in plan view. and
Fig. 2 is a rail profile with laterally applied hydraulic hose and a fastener and a cover.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT The plant for heating a railway switch 2 shown in FIG. 1 comprises a controllable heating and circulating device 4 for a heating fluid. The device has a flow connection V and a return connection R and a fluid line 6 which can be connected in fluid-tight manner to form a closed circuit for the heating fluid. The fluid line is formed in the region of the switch by a flexible hydraulic hose 8. In the connection region between the heating and circulating device 4 and the railway switch 2, the fluid line is formed by a respective flow section 10 and a return section 12, which consists of a heat-insulated tube section.

Claims (10)
[1]
In Fig. 1, a situation is shown shortly before the assembly of the system. Accordingly, the hydraulic hose is first provisionally arranged to be subsequently applied to lateral rail sections and fixed by means of fastening elements 14. In the example of FIG. 1, starting from the connection to the advance section 10, the hydraulic hose 8 initially extends below the rails 16a and 16b and then goes along the outside of rail 16b to the area of the associated wheel guide 18b. There it is guided below the rail 16b back to the area of the switch blade 20b, then back to the centerpiece 22. There, a new crossing takes place with continuation in the area of the switch blade 20a, then back to the wheel link 18a, below the rail 16a and along its outside over a longer distance back to the connection to the return section 12. In the example shown, the heating and circulating device 4 is fed by an emergency generator 24, which, however, also has a connection 26 to an external network. The device also includes a temperature sensor, not shown. Also not shown are hydraulic couplings, which serve to connect individual hose segments. Fig. 2 shows a voltage applied in the lower edge region of a railway rail 16 hydraulic hose 8 and a clamp-like fastening element 14, by means of which the hose is pressed against the rail. Furthermore, a cover member 28 is provided, which forms an approximately closed space in the vicinity of the hydraulic hose. For better illustration, the distances between the individual components in FIG. 2 are shown enlarged. claims
